We had the same thing done to us. All these credit cards want you to transfer balances - so you do so to make it easier and make only one payment to one place instead of several. But then it bites you in the behind because you are utilizing too much of the avail. limit.
There are TONS of credit cards out there (some better, some worse) so we closed the account and paid it off. If they are going to make assumptions - then they don't get my business.
