Hi June,

Isn't AssXXXX Acceptance Corporation wonderful? Hey, their HQ is right up near you in Michigan, check out their website. They'll claim to maintain the highest standards in the industry. Yesireebop.
Their conduct seems to be the latest trick by these goops. Buy out SOL debt and see if they get lucky. Sometimes when challenged by the debtor they'll make some fake, phony, fraud (before the court) claim that somehow you reset the statute. They'll cite letter from you way back when in which you tried to negotiate a settlement. Or perhaps they'll claim that when you wrote a thank you note to your in-laws this constituted prima facie pre-facto evidence of debt-reaffirmation.
Like the stuffed skinless sausages who work at these boiler-room outfits, it's all baloney. They are SOL, full of malarchy, and just being their usual exploitive selves.
Next time your're in Grosse Pointe, check out the homes - plural - of the proprietor of AAC. One hears their quite lovely, and to think, decorated with the tears and blood of over forty years's worth of debtors' misery. Touching.
Start FTC and State AG complaints immediately. If you are elderly and or disabled, contact state agency and/or cops who handle exploitation of elderly. Why? These creeps will gladly take your money and could care less if you forego needed medication and treatment.
Feeling anxious by this? How could you not. Tell your doctor forthwith. Rufus H. "Bud" "The Dean of Bad Debt" Reitzel, chief ramrod and founder of AAC appears from his unretouched photos to be quite healthy in spite of the signs of a rich diet. Perhaps should his henchmen persist, a swap could be arranged. 'His' debt in exchange for your medical bills. One never knows.

Your influence counts, use it. Send copies of the FTC and State AG complaints to the better business bureau and to your state and federal representatives as well. Get the momentum going.
You've so many legal means available to lance these pustulent societal boils. Why not have some fun, stick away.

With a certain prickliness, I remain,

Empathically,

Keyser Soze
