If they can't find you, if you do not go to court, they WILL get a default judgment against you. Once that happens, they can 'come after' you for the life of the judgment (how long that is depends on your state).

If they can find the ex, they can serve him as well as get a judgment against him too. If they already have one against you, it does not preclude them getting one against him.

If they get a judgment, by some means, and there are many, they WILL find you and you could then be either summoned to court for a debtor's examination or you'll be sent interrogatories, either of which you MUST answer/appear and answer the questions. If you don't, you could be charged with contempt of court and possibly arrested. With either, you MUST give them all your info on where you work, how much you make, what your assets are, etc. So, once they have that, if its allowed in your state, they could garnish wages.

You can't be arrested for not going to court for the initial summons, they just win a default judgment.
