I'd wait it out on the settlement offer, unless you really want to settle now. The 70% is not a good deal. Since these accounts proably charged off in Oct/Nov last year, you're early in the collection game. They'll likely harrass you for a while yet. I'm in the same boat with 2 MBNA/NCO accounts and NCO only makes stupid noises on my answering machine - or at least the did until I moved and disconnected my old phone number ;).

If you can stand waiting it out a bit longer, I would. If you think they're seriously escalating to sue you, you could make your own offer of 40% or so and go from there.
