You say you "take care" of your mother's finances-- is she competant? Is anyone else in her home? PLEASE double check to see if there are other "unknown" credit cards or other suspicious mail at her home. This MIGHT be a matter for the police.

Check with the bank to get at least a file # for the hold on her account. Go to your County Court for the file. GET A LAWYER!!
