The exemption for a vehicle in Fl is $1,500. plus you are probably figuring retail for your car. Go to the Kelly Blue Book, on line -get the trade in figure for your car- deduct 30%- that will give you the wholesale value. That is what is used as a figure. (you will be SHOCKED to find your car is likely worth right around $1,500. wholesale)
