I truly thank you for your expertise. I hope my question isn't a dumb one. If one could file for a statement of exemption - to protect assets in accounts, why isn't every one in debt doing this? Could I have filed for exemption when my landlord sued me and levied my bank account. Again, thank you for your time. Suzy
