If salary garnishment is limited to the amount over a certain federal limit, what happens is someone is sued by say 3 credit card companies and they all apply for wage garnishment. Let's say $100 of your salary per month is eligible for garnishment. Are these 3 companies going to share it and each take a measly $33.33 per month?
