This is how it works in Florida, this writer is not a lawyer, this is mere opinion not legal advice.
Interrogatories can be answered in affirmative, negative, or 'lacking in knowledge'. The scumbag plaintiff really wants you to make a damaging admission thus proving his case. Beats working.
"Lacking in knowledge' or 'don't know' is a safe route to take, look, if you don't know, then you can't be taken to task for denying something which is later proven as true.
If this debt is SOL, they are out to lunch anyhow and deserve your lovingly writing up FTC and state AG complaints.
As for admissions, in florida one answers either admit or deny.
These bums live in hope you'll answer not at all, makes their seedy lives easier. Be sure to check the court website or files to make sure a case is actually filed.
Sometimes merely answering the interrogatories and admissions encourages these termites to move along to next mark.
