First of all I would not recommend that you file yourself unless you are very familiar with federal BK laws. I filed BK7 in Jan 2003 and after a lot of research I elected to have an attorney do the work. Remember that you are dealing with creditors that have lawyers available to them and can object to things like your exemptions, and request that the automatic stay be set aside so they can collect/repo.
The first visit to a BK lawyer is usually free and often you can find one that will work with you on the fees.
