Community property complicates things.
It would be better to wait until her discharge if you're going to buy the house. If you buy the house first, it becomes community property and a potential problem.

These accounts she'll be filing on - were they accounts aquired by her alone prior to your marriage ? If so, its relatively easy. If not, then you could have a fight on your hands with creditors. There IS a provision in the bankruptcy laws that prevents a creditor from going after a the non-filing spouse in a community property situation. So, long as you stay married and and she stays healthy, they shouldn't bother you. Once the SOL on the accounts passes, which in AZ is 3 years (I believe) then they can't bother either of you no matter what happens.
