I sent a letter asking the CA to stop all phone calls and communicate with me only via snail mail. The CA (National Financial Systems) left a message on my answering machine saying they received my letter and that they are "allowed one phone call" and that I should call them back to discuss my options. Is this legal? I checked in the "credit law" section of this website and it says they are allowed to communicate with me for those 3 purposes listed, but isn't that only by mail as I requested? I'm in California. DOLA was August 2002. My attorney says I qualify for BK and am pretty much judgement proof. Are they really allowed a phone call after I requested all communication be through snail mail? Thanks in advance! This site is a lifesaver!
