The company I work for maintains credit reports in order for us to retain our lincense. I had a medical bill from 1997 that I never knew existed until December of 1999, when a collection agency called me. I had a lawyer contact them and it was unresolved. However, recently my license was suspended due to this collection so I contacted them. They agreed on a settlement, I asked if I wired the money they would fax my employer showing I had a paid-in-full balance. I was told yes it would be the next day before they could fax it. The next day (thursday) I called and no fax. They said it takes 3-5 days after postment of payment to fax. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she'd get it done Friday, maybe by noon on Friday. I called Friday, no fax. Monday, no fax; I called and spoke to another supervisor, she said it'd be done today(monday). Didn't happen. I've spoken to 3 different supervisors and left a message with the general manager to call me.Today(tuesday) I was told the request was given to the receptionist and that is all they can do. I reminded her of what I'd been told about the 3-5 days to fax and she said all she can tell me is that it will be faxed and no specific date can be given. I also asked for their policy and procedures and she said this can't be given out. My job is on the line here and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about. They have their payment and I just want a simple fax saying I paid. someone please help!
