Dear Friends; Thank you Lawguy, Whychat, Patti, LadynRed, Scott, indeed all who take time from your lives to freely give of your knowledge and encouragement. Appreciate the thought under this heading. In addition to the whole flawed premise of the third party debt collector system, another absurd notion is the idea of suing and or colecting on SOL debts. The moral dun oft expressed by judges and collection lawyers is that after all you do owe the money. This is the mark of an individual whose salary greatly outweighs their abilities and achievements, those who compensate for mediocrity with an air of parsonical sanctimony. Fine 'n Dandy. Let's apply the principal fairly. Abusive criminal scumbag collectors and their string-pulling banker/comfort boys should be permanently liable for any and all damages caused to debtors by their cruel conduct. Harrassed in 2003 by some horsefly CA, stress related illness permanently disables in 2008? Deceased before one's time, result of being goaded into suidcidal behavior by greedy psychopathic collector types, as in case of the young, late, coed? Great! Wait twenty years, and sue for all this young gal might have earned, achieved, given in her truncated life. That's fair, ain't it? In fact, let's have periodic examinations - medical and otherwise - of debtors to determine the ongoing and continuous detrimental effects caused by gutless punks who profit so handily from others' tragedy. Let's wait so as to maximize amount to be sued upon. Any dissenters? On another note, let's get rid of this silly SOL nonsense, clearly a subversive, anti-predatorycapitalist notion. After all, you do owe the money and you just don't want to pay. Onward to the absurd. Let's do away with all SOL. You littered back in 1971? Hey, let's consider the accrued costs of trash pickup, garbage truck fuel usage, cleanup crew health benefits paid because of your as yet unpunished and surely heinous offense. This oughta be good for a few hundred million bucks, at least. Oh, you drove home in 1983 after too many drinks and didn't get caught? Well, let's convene the star chamber. Confiscation of all cars owned since date of offense, confiscation of all wages, jail time to be open-ended, with no SOL. After all, you did commit the offense, just as the CA priests opine that you do owe the money. Sounds reasonable to this unworthy scribe. The obtuse moralizings of the creditor lackey cabal really are an acquired taste. To try and ingest their faux sermonizings and tortured logical blattings by swallowing them whole merely sends one running for the emesis basin. Good news, though. Apparently North Carolina passed a law so that when a CA and his or her spouse divorce they still remain as brother and sister. In a familial way, Keyser "The Bane of Bad Debtors" Soze
