I have sent in to the webmaster of this site several corrections on her posting of SOL limits both for filing for a judgment, and the length of time judgments stay in force. Unfortunately, this and other "consumer friendly" sites get their technical legal data from each other and they have not been able to correct the errors.

I have links on my website to a company that is FOR the collection agency industry, so THEIR facts are, of neccessity correct. (although they ARE wrong on Alaska). In addition, I have posted 40 individual States actual statutes of limitation, making SURE of the the correct legal SOL's (which is how I found out about the Alaska error)

In some cases, like Ohio and Mo. and Iowa, where the statutes are difficult to understand, I have included links to other parts of that State's statutes to clarify and substantiate the SOL plus showing exactly HOW & WHEN it starts.

As much as this forum website and other consumer forums do a service by allowing for a free flow of DISCOURSE, they are NOT (as the collection agency business sites are)in the business of providing accurate legal information, therefore I rely on my own research and the collection agency INDUSTRY'S sites to provide the needed accuracy.
