Tell it to the surviving parents of the young coed who was found strung up above her dormitory bed, her credit cards encircled beneath her dangling rigor mortised feet. Roomates spoke most highly of the young men and, ahh, 'women' from the collection agencies who had relentlessly harassed her, goading her into ultimate self-destructive behavior.
Tell it to the surviving family members of the poor soul who killed himself after months of incessant baiting calls from collection harpies who threatened him with jail, public disgrace, loss of everything, all so their banker pals could grab some more oil for their lice-ridden feathers.
Tell it to the elderly disabled woman who went without needed medicines due to lack of funds. Why lack of funds? Well, some young eager sleazer of a collection agent with serious management potential and far more serious character holes convinced her that jail awaited her if she didn't fork over all her money for a debt which wasn't even hers.
Thirteen bucks an hour? They've surely attained a salary level far above their abilities and achievements. Let 'em try honest work commensurate with their abilities. Perhaps outhouse basement attendant for starters.
Upon reflection, best not to overtax them. They have if nothing else made friends amongst some of us whose endurance will far and away exceed their own fragmented insect-like attention spans.
