You are welcome lady. Just know that a bk won't keep you down for more than two years. I filed bk but then had a repo and three charge offs after, its a bad bad situation for me. I am working on things and have my scores up to 579 now. My boyfreind just filed bk and is waiting for his day in court. I have a household credit card, i pay in full each month, and a first preimer cc, which i paid off and closed as they are horrid with fees and such, don't send statments and what have you. I opened a secured loan with my credit union, and that now gives me three good trade lines. Plus I have about 7 good tl from before bk, all paid/never late/closed. The credit union said that no matter my scores, I can get a mobile home loan with 10% down at 10% interest if we have everything paid off and its 18 months past bk. She also said we would be able to get a regular mortgage with 5% down and 7% interest(going rate at this time) with scores of 615 and all paid off and 2 years past bk. Seems to me that having a house is the most important of all. We live in a nice aparment with good schools for our four kids. Credits been bad since the end of 1997, I can wait two more years to get my family a home. You will see its not the end of the world. Just be smarter than I was if you do file. Don't mess it up a second time like I did. It will take forever to clean it back up.
