BK CH 7 is the best option for you, however, since you are in Tx with total Homestead exemption and NO wage garnishment, you MIGHT wish to consider making sure your bank accounts are in a joint account with someone OTHER than your wife, (Tx is a community property State). This will prevent a "prefiling" garnishment freezing your $$.

Then, IF one or all of your creditors DOES file for a judgment, you would STILL have the option of declaring BK and getting the judgments discharged.

I suggest you send cease and desist letters to ALL your creditors, requesting they ONLY contact you by mail. In Tx, with it's OWN FDCPA laws, this DOES apply to original creditors also.

Make sure in your letter you DO NOT acknowledge that the debt is yours, or that you are refusing to pay.
