Money in bank accounts IS vulnerable in TX, even if they can't make a grab for anything else, so you'd have to be mindful of that. As AIRICS noted, they can't do squat unless and until they sue and win.

As for AE, if the account isn't charged-off yet, they likely won't sue you. Its also likely that the closer you get to charge-off, they'd be more inclined to accept that $2600 settlement they rejected before, so don't count that out yet. Same goes for MBNA. If you're not near charge-off, they won't deal for anything less than 80%.
