You tell them that you will pay them $xxx.xx and in return they will delete any and all tradelines they have made to your credit report - it works. Trying to get an OC to change their line is harder but it can be done. Go to www.creditinfocenter.com and read up on how to negotiate for deletions etc. in a settlement.
