You did the right thing by disputing and requesting validation.

Make sure you keep records of all correspondence, with proof of their having received your ltter (green card).

You don't have to worry about your house or proerty if t is jointly owned and your husbad never signed on the cards.

Worse comes to worse, and they file suit (which I doubt they will) you already have a STRONG defense in the Court. They would have to PROVE the amounts they are claiming in court, and if you have proof they are wrong, they cannot win.

An affadavit of exemption would be filed if they actually did win a judgment,which is VERY doubtful, even if they DID sue, which is also very doubtful.

All it would be would be a siged notarized statement that your home and cars and other property are either jointly owned,not titled to you, or are under $5,000. in value.
