I am working on three creidit reports right now. Mine and my ex hubby's both had a lot of charge offs and colls on them. I filed bk in 1998. Most of them had a lda from Oct to dec 1997. I sent out disputes to cra for ex and so far, between the three he has gotten a total of 30 items deleted. The only thing that came back as verified were for three recent tl's he had. And though his score with exp and equ stayed about the same, TU went down from 550 to 340. You can also open a secured loan with your credit union. I did this on March 31 and it is already reporting. My score dropped 20 points as of april 5, the day this came on my cr. I think that it will stay that way for a while, till they see I have made payments. I did the loan for 1200.00 @ 6% interest. Total interest should be about 40.00 if you take it out for a year. Payment of about 100.00. I paid a payment at the end of the first week. The third week I paid off all but 100.00. Will let you know in the begining of May if it helped to really raise the scores or not. Also, the credit union loan dept told me that they don't go by numbers either. They want to see everything paid for, and will listen to what got you in credit trouble and take everything into consideration that you tell them.
