I read a lot of the advice received and I think that you should double check to make sure that the items you have charged off are going to fall off next year. Make sure the date of last activity is correct. 1. Opt out 2. dispute the easy items first (you may want to check this board out for any of the companies that are on your report that are tough to deal with.) 3. OR do nothing on your report right now that may raise a flag and go ahead and buy a house that an owner will carry. There are plenty of people in Ohio that will do that for a small down payment. 4. I had a high interest rate loan for two years then refinanced to conventional. That was not too bad either because I needed the interest deduction. Good Luck and get that house!
