If I received a letter from a lawyer called INTERROGATORIES IN AID OF EXECUTION. I was sent this because of a default judgement placed against me by discover card and it's lawyer that was assigned this. Must I fill out all the questions and provide them with all the information they are requesting. It also states that failure to do so may result in finding of contempt of court, with possible sanctions. I live in PA by the way. They want to know many things including. My full name, date of birth, current residence, social security number, banking accounts, employer's name and address, weekly gross salary, estate owned, my mortgage payment, if I own any items of personal property with a aggregate of $500 or greater, if I own a car, if my care is encumbered by any type of loan, if I own any stocks, bonds, securities, mutual funds, if I am entitle to a pension, do I own an interest in any business, and lastly copies of federal and state income tax returns for the past 3 years. Then last I must sign to certify my answers is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and I understand that anything willfully false is subject to punishment. I have been working on paying off credit cards and have paid off 5 to this date. I just paid one off when this came around so I didn't have enough money to settle this, so now I am here. I guess I did all the stuff your not supposed to do. By not sending back the answer responses and not showing up for the court case. I figured what is there to prove I owe the money, just don't have the money at this time and date. It also states on another letter that came with it. I can contact the lawyer's office to make arrangements of money over time. I haven't paid anything on this card for close to 2 years so the SOL doesn't apply to me.
