My husband has this debt originally with Citibank and was bought by Cavalry Investment. They recently filed a complaint Nevada but the SOL already lapsed when we were living in CA (SOL 4 yrs for open account and written account). Nevada has 4 yrs SOL for open account. I wrote a letter to the attorney handling this file but refused to asserting that SOL ran out. To avoid a default, I filed a Motion to Strike asserting my the SOL per my review the NRS Codes as well citing the California Codes. I am probably going to need help researching for any Fed Rules and to do some legal researches.
