Hardly. Like criminals, they are caught in one neighborhood - yours. They hope to escape to prey on others elswhere. File complaints, solicit complaints about these gutless predatorys from others who have been harassed, do it right here on the net.
That a CA scumbag ceases collection activity against you should never be taken as an act of kindness. It is not in their makeup. These weaklings take our kindness for weakness, our agreable nature for a sucker-shot opportunity. Smash them legally, as years pass it can become an inexpensive, legal, fun for the whole family hobby. Let them know that mucking about in your crib costs them time, money, legal problems, pain. Use the anti-Brylcreem conditioning technique. Remember all those hair treatments from the fifties that created the plastered down look?
Right, condition them with anti-Brylcreem, so that upon mention of your name their hair stands on end. These are subhuman beasts, you will never appeal to their sense of kindness and mercy. You will never win their respect. All you can achieve is to elicit fear so that they move along to easier targets, in the manner of all bullies.
Great idea, do not stop just because they let you off the hook. SOme other puke outfit, say AssXXX Acceptance, F A Management, Scumco, similar ilk, might just grab your SOL account in a year or two, re-age it, and start trouble. They'll do it so someone else less knowledgeable, not so fortunate as to read this board. Do it for them. REport these lice unto their demise.
When some grinning, yellow-bile stained sweat dripping, BO reeking CA rep tells you you are off the hook, practice well so that your reflexive response both in word and in deed is, "Thank you, Mr. Nice CA "Collections Professional", I'm just getting warmed up."

you ten to twenty, sport. Now get back to 'work', there's single mom's to rip off, elderly disabled women to threaten with prison, hard working Latino family men and young coeds to goad into suicide, so say the newswires. All in a day's work in your 'industry'. Now get to in before I tell your mohhhhhmmmeeee.
