It is impossible to say exactly where the situation went off the track. I don't wish to call anything a "scam" where apparently there was a legal proccess that was followed.

Mortgages and mortgage lenders are VERY heavily regulated in Fl., in addition there is a VERY strong "predatory lending" statute in Fl. that would, IMO preclude any standard companies like Litton or Chase from doing anything illegal.

So, I repeat, your lawyer SHOULD have been notified of pending actions. It is POSSIBLE that the errors occurred in HIS office.

Not everything that goes wrong in credit situations is a "scam" or a "fraud". MUCH more often it is carelessness or error on the part of some clerk somewhere.
