I have a Spiegel Card with a high balance that I have been paying the minumum amount for but the account is closed and I was told that if I were to keep up the payments timely for three consecutive months the account will "roll over" (is that the same as "re-age"?) causing the overlimit balance to go back to given credit limit. Then I received an "opt-out" letter that I ignored because my account was closed. Now I was told I owe over the limit fees and they will continue to accrue each month because I didn't "opt-out". I already pay $220.00 a month and now they are asking for the full $680.77 in overlimit fees or $35.00 extra (yet the overlimit fee will continue to grow.) They want me to go out and borrow the money so I will now owe them in addition to all the other I creditors pay and plus a new loan. Outrageous!! What should I do?

Thank God for this message board!!
