In alll honesty I called it 2 months ago, same stuation here, unlisted/unpub phone. Though I left my number wth them I have not had an increase in Telemarket calls...if thats what u are worried about.

I think that they just take ur number to verify
where this opt out request is heading, like which to apply it to.

IF you are in Mass. you can always join the "do Not call list" also for telemarketters.
