How can you tell the difference between a credit card and a contract. Is a Best buy account a credit card or a contract. My credit report shows it listed as "revolving charge account profit and write off". Does that mean it is a credit card? The reason I'm asking is that i got a summons for this account and would like to know if I can use the sol as a defense.
the account was opened in june of 1995 for a computer.I got the summons on April 25 2003. I have to reply by next week friday. I really need some advise. Anyone who knows what I should do please respond as soon as possible. I spoke to two lawers. One said I could use the SOL as a defense but was not sure. The second lawyer said I couldn't b/c it is a contract. (The funny thing is the 2nd lawyer hasn't seen any of my documents and wants 600 dollars to do the paper work for me!)Help Help Help me.
