I do not think this is possible.
The CA MAY be identifying themselves as "Sears" but I doubt that it actually IS.

The best way to tell is to have the victim look up the # for Sears and call them.

This presumes they do not have caller id.

The only other possibility that occurs to me is that the person is mistaken about which account they are calling on.

There is NO WAY that Sears (the STORE) would be doing this. Come to think of it, there was a similar post some month or so back and it turned out to be a "Sears Collection Agency" that had NO reationship to the Sears store.
