If you're going to request validation you do NOT want to put in any settlment verbage. This is basically admitting the debt is yours, even though it is NOT !

Make THEM validate the debt, make THEM PROVE that its your debt. Since you say it is not, why offer them a single dime without making them prove it ??

If they cannot validate, and I seriously doubt that they can, then they MUST remove any and all entries from your credit report and they must CEASE all collection activity.

If your goal is validation, you need to edit this letter. Do NOT admit to ANYTHING, make them PROVE it.

You can find sample validation letters at www.creditinfocenter.com that will work much better for you.
