To add to what LadynRed said, most PayDay loan places
tack on horrible "penalty fees" for bounced checks --
agreed to in the fine print they usually get customers to
sign before handing over the dough. These places are very,
very scummy, and they are very, very punitive. Tread
lightly. If possible, perhaps your friend could physically
pay back the money today and put a stop-payment on the
check. (Of course, I realize that may not be possible.) :(
