Question About "School FEES"

Hi,

I filed bankruptcy last March. I had fees from a college for about $500 that were included in this discharge. This was not a loan but fees for (late) parking expenses, late charges, etc. added up.

I cannot register at this school still because they claimed it is educational money and cannot be discharged. What are the true rules on this?

Can they classify anything like this as "Loans"? My lawyer is not helping anymore and I can't get her to even contact me. I'm upset because if I get another lawyer to straighten this out it will cost so much more.

The school does not send letters, but I am still blocked from registering for anything - probably forever unless I pay the $500. It's an Ohio school. Does anyone have any knowledge about this?
