NCI calling for my GF, called him back, (then found out it was NCI) says she owes $1479., last paid on the Citibank Mastercard, on aug. '99, account was charged off in April'00. The full amount owed is $2550.00 Said his fees were at $1700.00 right now and he will offer a $2,044.00 buy out right now, good til tomorrow at noon.
Threating a lawsuit, also had called her mother and told her all this too. Lawsuit, bad debt, 2000-bucks, which I know from reading here and the laws, he can't do!

Also, how could he settle for 2044.00 when his fees are already 1700! That's just stupid to tell me that. So the cc will only get 300-bucks!

Anyway, my question is where should she go from here?She is thinking this debt is from '94. Not sure, she is looking for info on this card / payments now. Know if it is past the SOL were basically in a good place, and seise and disis to follow.

Also, he refused to send / mail verification of debt, amounts, info on this too. Says is past that point, she should have paid the cc.

New to this here, any help would be great.
