First you need to file your Answer to that summons ! The link below will tell you just how to do that. Second, you MUST go to court, do NOT blow it off if you want to have ANY chance of settling or getting payments arranged. When you go to court, the judge will send you into a room to make an attempt to settle. Draw up your OWN settelment agreement/payment plan and do not allow yourself to be bullied into something you can't pay. Take along a financial statement to show that your offer is ALL that you can afford.

You also need to file your exemptions with the court. This protect you home, your cars, and your personal property.

You didn't make them mad, Citi is suing more quickly these days.

Your husbands wages can NOT be garnished if his name is not on the lawsuit or on the debt. They can't take your home, though they *may* try to place a lien on it. They can sieze bank accounts.
