national check control

national check control sent me a letter stating that i had a bad check that needed to be taken care of immediately i called the number and i was talked to very rude i asked to speak to the supervisor he responded i am the supervisor gene starks and he said i better pay this or there will be a warrant issued for my arrest as soon as possible i asked him for the account number on the check he said that he did not have it i asked him how did he know that i had written the check he said that he had my id and the id number that he gave was totally wrong is this a fraud company or is it real i don't remember writing this check
