I suggest you go to the March archives and search for LawGuy's thread on the Ohio SOL. The 'contract not in writing' statute that you quoted earlier is exactly what Lawguy was referring to - 6 years.

If you look at the definitions of a 'written contract' vs. a credit card account, its not hard to see that a credit card is NOT a written contract. The TILA, FEDERAL law, defines it as such and that usually has *some* weight with local judges. Ohio folks have successfully used this statute and the TILA in cases exactly like yours.
