I have no income, as I was a housewife and soon to be divorced. I will be working for cash for a friend, so no tax problem there, but a creditor plans to issue a 1099c on me. With no taxable wages and just a 1099c, will I pay taxes on that, and can I claim the earned income tax credit using the 1099c as my only income?
