I believe that to be correct, yes (WhyChat, lawguy or JR, please correct me if I'm wrong). That is the way I interpret it and WhyChat has mentioned in the past that NY law says some things come off earlier than 7 years. Interestingly enough, paid charge-offs have the same 5 year rule in NY.
