Judgments on record are enforceable in your State depending on the State's statute of limitations for enforcement of judgments. They range from 5 to 20 years.

To obtain the writ of garnishment they had to file with the Court and notify you of your right to appeal. If you ignored it, you will have to petition the Court to set aside the garnishment order.

The 7 year reporting period on your credit reports has no relationship to the period of time a judgment is enforceable.
