I had the same problem as Scott with these people. I would ask them what they were calling about what was the name of the company I had bounced this mystery check witha nd they would respond by saying you are the criminal that wrote the check andyou know where you wrote it. Mind you I supposedly wrote this check in 99. When I asked them to explain he started to badger me and yell at me a call me all kinds of names. I told him I would send him the money if he told me what it was for. He then asked me if I was married and I told him NO and he said that is why you are not married because you have such a big mouth. I hung up and he called me back and started proceeded to yell at me somemore before telling me that the problem would not go away unless I paid the bill. The bill I received said that it was a Final Notice of Criminal Check Fraud. On the bill it said that I owed 302.85 to an Abbott Industries and I looked up Abbott Industries on the internet and it is a mail order service. I never order anything from. The whole situation is crazy.
