Regarding SOL
on credit card debts, I have checked with few attorneys in my
state and contacted my courthouse and the public library but unfortunately
none of them were able to give me a definite expiration time for
suing (SOL).
Only one attorney told me it is 5 years ( for creditor to file
a lawsuit). I am very confused because I have checked your site
under credit
law and it shows that SOL
for credit card debts (for creditor to file a suit) in the state
of Oklahoma is three years. My questions are:
1. Can you guide me to a legal sources where I could read about the SOL concerning my state in case a law suit was filed by my creditors after the expiration of the Statute of limitation so I can use those notes as a solid proof of SOL expiration. 2. Since you have SOL on your credit site, how did you generate those exact time limits ( from law books, attorneys, others.) 3. In your opinion, is it possible that the attorneys, courthouse, public libraries don't know the time limit on SOL or they don't want to search, or they have other intentions. 4. Are you sure the 3 years SOL in the state of Oklahoma is the correct time limit, and how can I defend a law suit if it was brought up after that date. Is filing in the court a dismiss case enough. Since I don't have any written proves for the court on SOL, how can I convince them that the SOL is expired and my case must be dismissed. Thank you Joe.
