About a year ago I entered into an agreement with a non profit organization to let them negotiate with creditors a fixed payment plan and interest rate on my existing credit card balances. I had just received a current copy of my complete credit report (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and it appears that in the notes section under my accounts there appears a caption stating "credit counseling". I'm sure this does not look good to potential future lending institutions. I was not aware that there would be any derogatory marks on my credit report prior to entering this agreement. Is there any way I could get this off my credit report? Will getting my account "unrated" take care of this problem? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
