SOL Judgement

I recently received a letter in the mail from a credit card company saying that I owe a sizeable amount of money plus interest from 1984. I have never heard from these people before. I do not recall having this credit card (though I suppose it is possible, I was very young then) and it does not appear on my credit report. When I called to speak to them, they did have my correct SSN . It is possible that I have a judgement against me in this case, though I'm not certain. The SOL for judgements in my state is 20 yrs. Any suggestions?
