received a summons on april 19--live in ny--summons on front door--i have 30 days to respond--part of the summons states why they are sueing me--the attorney stated on the summons that i promised to pay the amount as per correspondence with them--i never spoke to them nor did i write back to them--what are my rights--i am filing a general denial answer on may 8 which is within the thirty days--these attorneys are such scums
