I have opened a new account today. I took all the money out of the account and this morning before i withdrew the money, I checked my account and the garnishment amount was no longer on there. But, after I took all the money out of the account, this afternoon the bank drafted my account again for the 150 dollars, even though I only had fifty in it at the time. So now, they have debited my account for money that is not even in the bank.
Also, if I open an account with another bank and make it a joint account will they be able to easily garnish it again, or does that take them awhile. I think this attorney knew of our bank account because we had sent a payment several months ago drawn on our account.
