why chat im about to reeive a letter from a collector. They agreed if I pay 1/2 they would delete item from my report. Ive asked about them selling the interest portion. They said they wouldn't. What can I do to protect myself. I asked about getting a 1099 from the original creditor. They stated they know nothing about that.. Question: Will they delete if the letter says they will? Will they sell the remaining portion? Im I starting the 7 year clock again?
