How does an unsecured credit card debt become a secured lien against real property? Something sounds very fishy here. The poster said she received a copy of a letter to the Court. Nothing else. Friend of poster said its recorded somewhere. How can this be without a court hearing? Again, I do not know Missouri law, but in PA you cannot attached a lien against real property for A)unsecured debt, such as credit cards, the only way this can be done here is if the judgement was for some type of criminal behavior such as a car accident where the defendant had no insurance. B) when title to the property is Tenants by the Entireties(husband & wife) for a judgement against ONE of the parties.
Anyone here know if Missouri law is radically different than PA? I would be gratified to see Susan1250 really stick it to these greedy uneducated chimps.
