It was a Perkins loan of my husbands. And it is the school itself suing. They have never handed it over to the state or the dept of ed. They have their own attorney handling it in Kansas City. The copy of the garnishment document the bank sent us says it is for 7819.17. It was date stamped for April 23, but did not contain any signitures, facimile or real, and was not even signed in the space available for the "Clerk of the District Court/Deputy. The thing is the money they garnished was mine. I can prove it with the check stub. But I do not know what to do to fight that.
